How to set up a Meta Business Suite account

Learn how to set up a Meta Business Suite account to utilise Sintra's Facebook+Instagram integration.

If you want to utilise our Facebook+Instagram integration - you'll need to have a Meta Business Suite account set up. This article will guide you through the setup process in case you do not have Meta Business Suite account yet.

Before you start — what you’ll need

To start, you must have a personal Facebook profile as Meta requires a personal account to create/manage Pages, refer here. You'll use this profile to:

  • Create and log into Meta Business Suite account

  • Authenticate the Facebook+Instagram integration for Sintra.

Note: Your personal profile is only used for authentication as per Meta's requirements. Sintra's Facebook+Instagram integration only allows actions for Facebook pages and Instagram Creator/Business pages that are linked to the Facebook pages.

Creating Meta Business Suite account

If you do not have a Meta Business Suite account and want to create it, do the following:

  1. Click Create Account.

  2. Follow the prompts to name your business and link your personal profile as the admin.

This will create a Business Portfolio in Meta Business Suite that will be used to manage Pages, Ad Accounts, assets and authenticate Sintra's Facebook+Instagram integration.

Note: if you already have a Meta Business Suite account - you simply need to log in with your personal Facebook account.

Preparing for Sintra's Facebook+Instagram integration setup

When you have a Meta Business Suite account, to utilise Sintra's integration, you need to:

  1. Create a Facebook page if you don't have it yet:

    1. In Meta Business Suite (desktop), click the left menu and find PagesCreate new Page (or visit Create a Page).

    2. Enter your Page name (business name), choose one or more Categories (e.g., Restaurant, Retail, Consultant), and write a short Description / bio. Click Create.

    3. Upload your profile photo (logo) and cover photo. Add business details (hours, address, contact method) from the Page settings / Edit Page info area.

  2. Then, make sure the Facebook page is added to your Business Portfolio:

    1. In Business Suite go to Settings (or Business Settings) → AccountsPages.

    2. Click Add → choose Create a new Page or Add a Page you already manage. Follow prompts to confirm. This links the Page into your business portfolio so you can assign people, create ads, and manage assets.

  3. Connect Instagram Creator/Business profile to the Facebook page:

    1. In Business Settings → AccountsInstagram Accounts, click Add and authenticate your Instagram professional account to manage posts and messages in one place.

When you have Meta Business Suite set up and it has a Facebook page (and optionally an Instagram page) - you can proceed to set up the Facebook+Instagram integration in Sintra.
