How Your Timezone Gets Set
Automatic detection
When you first sign in, Sintra automatically detects your timezone from your browser (for example, "America/New_York"). No action is needed on your end.
Manual override
You can update your timezone at any time in Settings > Profile Details. There are 65 supported time zones to choose from.
Fallback: If detection fails or no timezone has been set, the system defaults to UTC.
What Your Timezone Affects
Task Scheduling
Scheduled tasks run at the time you set in your local timezone, not server time. Setting a task for 9:00 AM means it runs at 9:00 AM in your location.
Calendar Views
All calendar displays (day, week, and month views) show events in your timezone, so everything lines up correctly.
AI Helper Context
When you chat with a Helper, it is aware of your current local date and time. This allows it to give time-aware responses, such as wishing you a good morning or scheduling something for tomorrow.
Chat Timestamps
Message timestamps are displayed in your local timezone.
Workflows
Time-based workflow triggers are evaluated using your timezone.
How to Change Your Timezone
Go to Settings
Open the Profile Details section
Select your preferred timezone from the dropdown
Save your changes
Good to Know
Sintra uses IANA timezone names (such as "America/Chicago" or "Europe/London"), which automatically handle daylight saving time transitions. No manual adjustment is needed twice a year.
Each scheduled task stores its own timezone at the time it is created. Changing your profile timezone will not retroactively update existing task schedules.
