Brain AI supports these image formats:
JPG

All five work the same way once uploaded - your AI employees can find them, reference them, and use them in posts.

The file has to contain copyable text that Brain AI can read. A scanned PDF that’s really just a photo of a page has no readable text in it, so there’s nothing for Brain AI to pull out. If you can select and copy the text when you open the file yourself, Brain AI can read it too.
Links and text snippets
You’re not limited to uploading files. You can also save to Brain AI:
Public web page links (URLs) - handy for product pages, articles, or your own site
Text snippets - paste in brand guidelines, notes, tone-of-voice rules, anything useful
What isn’t supported
These are not supported:
TIFF
HEIC
Audio files
Anything not listed in the sections above
Unsupported formats won’t be parsed - Brain AI can’t read them, so they won’t be usable by your AI employees. Convert the file first, then upload the converted version.
HEIC catches a lot of people out, since that’s the default photo format on iPhone. Exporting or saving those photos as JPG before uploading solves it.
If your format isn’t on the list
You’ve got two options:
Convert it. Save or export the file in one of the supported formats above, then upload it. This is the fastest fix.
Submit a feature request. If you need a format that isn’t supported yet, send it through as a feature request so the team knows there’s demand for it.
